How do I get an audit?
Create an account, with Google or with an email and a password, and add the site’s address. The audit is queued, and the report appears in your account usually within the hour, by the next working day at the latest — on the site, not in an email, so the next audit can be compared with it. A short email tells you it is ready: after the first audit, with the grade and the first thing to fix; after the next ones, with the first few changes since the audit before.
Does it cost anything?
No. Trakis is in beta and has no paid plan. When one exists, its price will be on the site before anything can be charged — the terms say so.
Do I need an account?
Yes: the report lives in your account — a Google sign-in, or an email and a password. It keeps your sites, compares each audit with the one before, can audit them on a schedule, and emails you when a site drops in grade or gets a new critical problem.
Why is a problem counted once?
Because a template repeats it: a tag missing from the product template is missing from every product. One change fixes all of them, so the report shows one line, with the number of pages it covers. More on the about page.
What does the grade mean?
A number from 0 to 100, computed the same way for every site from the same checks, so two sites — yours and a competitor’s — can be compared. A site we could not read gets no grade, never a made-up one. What each check looks at is on every check we run.
What does “What changed” show?
After each audit, what is different from the one before: problems fixed and new ones, and what changed on the pages themselves — a title, a description, a heading, a canonical, a page that started answering an error or asked to leave the index, a big drop in text. Only pages read by both audits are compared. The first few changes get a sentence from an AI model on what they mean, marked as such; the facts above it are the audit’s own.
What are “Links worth adding”?
Pages whose own text names what another of your pages is about, and does not link to it — with the words to link. The subject of a page comes from the searches it shows up for in Search Console, or from its heading when Search Console is not connected. Menus, footers and text already inside a link are left out.
Should I connect Search Console?
It is optional, and asked for separately, with its own Google consent. With it, fixes are ordered by the traffic at risk on the pages they sit on, the Positions page shows your searches by position week by week, and the links worth adding use your real searches. We only read the property you choose, and never write to Search Console. Searches Google keeps private for being rare are not shared with anyone, so they are not counted.
A finding is intentional. Can I hide it?
Yes: “Accept as intentional” under the finding. It stops counting against the grade and is kept on record with your reason. If what the finding shows changes later, it comes back on its own.
Can I send a report to a client?
Two ways. Print the client report to PDF from your browser’s print dialog, or make a link on the report’s page: your client opens it without an account and always sees the latest audit. The link is shown once — only a fingerprint of it is stored — and works until you revoke it. Either way it stays on white paper, whatever mode you use the application in.
Can I export the data?
Yes, as CSV: the problems with their pages, the links worth adding, and your searches from Search Console. The button is at the top of each of those pages.
Your crawler visited my site
It asks for robots.txt first and obeys it. TrakisBot says what it fetches, how fast, and the two lines that stop it.
How do I delete my account?
Yourself, from the settings, or by writing to us. What goes with it.
