Terms of service
What you agree to when you use Trakis, and what we promise back. Short, because a beta should not need a lawyer to join.
Last changed 2 October 2026.
What Trakis is
Trakis audits websites for search engines and for whether AI assistants can read and cite them, and counts each problem once rather than once per page. It is offered by its founder, based in Romania, and it is in beta: features change, some are missing, and the service may be paused or stopped. We will say so on the site before we do.
Your account
- You sign in with a Google account, or with an email address and a password. You are responsible for what is done from the account, and for keeping the password to yourself.
- One account is one organization. Shared access for several people is not offered yet.
- You can delete the account at any time, yourself in the settings or by writing to hello@trakis.io; the account deletion page says what that removes.
The sites you add
When you add a site, our crawler fetches its pages on your behalf. You confirm that you own the site or are allowed to have it audited. The crawler identifies itself as TrakisBot, reads robots.txt first and obeys it, keeps to a gentle pace, and fetches HTML only — the bot page lists every number. Asking us to crawl a site you have no right to audit, or to get around a site’s own rules, is the one thing that ends an account without notice.
Search Console
Connecting Search Console is optional and separate. We only read the property you choose, and you can revoke the access from your Google account at any time. The data is yours; we use it to order your own site’s fixes and for nothing else.
Price
There is no paid plan yet. When one exists, its price and what it includes will be on the site before anything can be charged, and nothing is charged without your explicit action. These terms will gain a section on payment at that point.
What we promise, and what we do not
We promise to tell you what we measured and how, to say when we could not measure something instead of guessing, and to keep your data as the privacy page describes. We do not promise that a score will rise, that a search engine will behave, or that the service is free of mistakes: it is provided as it is, and our liability for its use is limited to what the law does not let us limit.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of Romania. When they change, the date at the top changes, and a change that is not in your favour is announced to signed-in accounts before it applies. Questions go to hello@trakis.io.
