No short answer under the heading
Pages with an H1 and at least 200 words where there is no paragraph right under the H1, or it is shorter than 120 characters. Assistants quote a short, direct answer near the top of the page. A page that opens with a banner or a list of links gives them nothing to quote.

Where it usually comes from
Pages that open with a banner, a slider, filters or a list of links, so the first real sentence sits far below the heading.
How to fix it
- Put one or two plain sentences under the H1 that say what the page offers or answers.
- Keep banners, filters and link lists after that paragraph, not between it and the heading.
- On a category, say what is in it and for whom; on a product, what it is and what makes it different.
How to check it yourself
Read the first paragraph under the main heading on its own: does it answer what the page is about in a sentence or two?
What it looks like in a report
Notice There is no paragraph under the H1 that answers directly. · /category/*
Category pages open with filters and a grid; one sentence under the heading gives assistants something to quote. (An example shop; the numbers are illustrative.)
How the audit counts it
AI-002 is a notice in the AI readiness category, and weighs moderately in that category’s score. When it appears on many pages built from the same template, the report shows it once, with the number of pages it covers — because one change in the template fixes all of them.
If the finding is deliberate on your site, it can be accepted as intentional in the report. It then leaves the list and the score, and comes back on its own if what it shows changes.
