Many impressions, very few clicks

Titles and descriptions that do not match the words people searched for, or a result that looks less relevant than its neighbours.

This check needs the site’s traffic from Google Search Console. It runs only when the owner has connected it; without it, the audit leaves it out rather than guess.

• Look at the searches the page appears for in Search Console.
• Rewrite the title and description to answer those searches directly.

In Search Console, open Performance, filter by the page, and compare impressions with clicks for its top queries.

The page is seen and passed over; its title does not match what people searched for. (An example shop; the numbers are illustrative.)

GSC-001 is a warning in the on-page category, and weighs moderately in that category’s score. When it appears on many pages built from the same template, the report shows it once, with the number of pages it covers — because one change in the template fixes all of them.

If the finding is deliberate on your site, it can be accepted as intentional in the report. It then leaves the list and the score, and comes back on its own if what it shows changes.
